At school, there is a sport that has been going on during school time and after school: its rugby! It is a sport that Inspire+ has come up with to help us with training. Every Tuesday afternoon, KS2 take turns to do rugby, first Kingfisher, then Bramblings and finally Greenfinches. In the club, there is the same coach (called Will). It is open to all of KS2.
I asked some people about what they thought about the academic rugby and here’s what they thought about this question: What do you think of rugby?
Oliver Smith responded,” I like it even though it is a bit harsh.”
Daniel Bateson responded, “I think that rugby is cool because its non-contact and you can play different games, not just rugby. You can play rugby tag.”
Ned Dangerfield responded, “I don’t love it but I like it. Errrrr not sure, but I like it?”
Ollie Green remarked “I think it’s a good sport because it gets your legs moving and it keeps you healthy and fit.”
Gabriel told me, “I think it’s a good sport but’s it’s a tiny bit rough and people jump on me sometimes.”
It is a really addictive school club and we hope we described this in good enough detail for you to think about joining.
We are the Young Journalists. We meet each week with Mrs Waites and write about things that are important to us in school, in our school community and in the wider world.
