Our SEN Mission Statement
We believe that all pupils, including those identified as having special educational needs, have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is accessible to them. They have the right to be fully included in all aspects of school life enabling them to meet their full potential.
When planning, teachers set suitable learning challenges and respond to a pupil's diverse learning needs. Some pupils have barriers to learning for example speech and language, behavioural, social and emotional and/or physical difficulties that mean they have special educational needs and require particular action by the school.
Corby Glen School ensures that curriculum planning and assessment for pupils with special educational needs takes account of the type and extent of the difficulty experienced by the child.
Amanda Treacy is our school leader for children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) and will work closely with your child and you if your child has an additional need and requires action from school. She can be contacted by email via
