Clerk to Governors

Hours: 2.27 hours over 39 weeks

Salary: G4 (Range 9-12) (Full-time equivalent salary range £17419-£19430)

Start date: 1st September 2019


The Governing Body of Corby Glen Community Primary School are looking for a reliable, efficient and effective clerk to join our team. The successful applicant will be required to attend all Full Governing Body Meetings and Committee meetings that normally take place on a Wednesday evening from 6.00pm -8.00pm. You will work closely with the Chair of Governors, Head Teacher and School Administrator/Bursar alongside other Governors to ensure that all paperwork and monitoring visits for School Governance is appropriately maintained and carried out.


We are looking for an effective and efficient administrator who will provide agendas and supporting paperwork for each meeting; attend meetings to take minutes and provide advice on governance issues when required. The successful candidate will also be required to prepare, amend, and issue minutes; provide advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters; provide general administrative support for the governing body; clerk any additional meetings;

be conversant with general IT, as all of the paperwork is sent out via email and understand and abide by the confidential nature of the role at all
