This year, Corby Glen Community Primary School begins its 147th year of guiding children to grow into confident young members of society and of our local community. A strong focus on our school values (respect, relationships, responsibility, resilience and realising potential) ensures that our children are encouraged to work collaboratively and with respect while, at the same time, an individual resilience is developed that helps them to thrive. These foundational values are exhibited by our committed staff, whose expertise across a range of fields is applied in making success in learning something for which all our children can strive.

Corby Glen Community Primary’s longstanding place in our growing community makes it both a significant part of our locality and an outward looking school that prepares children for life in the modern world. Our traditions are enjoyed in the context of today, and our curriculum is wide-reaching in its endeavor to broaden our children’s horizons. ‘Together we grow’ is an expression of our aim to encourage strong partnerships between everybody in our wider school community, working together to help everyone succeed.

In working together with parents and carers, we not only provide an excellent all-round education for our children, but we also prioritise a high standard of pastoral care and attention. Our staff know our children and their families. We work together to ensure that children are ready to learn in every sense, taking a personalised approach and giving pastoral support wherever it is needed. Children deserve the best possible chances in life, and they learn best when there are strong links between home and school.

Our children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities within the classroom and in the wider world. Curriculum subjects are planned and delivered to engage minds, develop curiosity and fascinate imagination. Extra-curricular activities offer further opportunities for character development, teamwork and the pursuit of wide-ranging interests.
