Pupils took a break from their lessons to learn some valuable life skills from paramedics last week.
Rachel Makin and Matt Snow, who work for React First Aid, visited Corby Glen Community Primary School on Thursday and Friday to train the whole school in basic first aid.
Pupils were taught how to react in an emergency situation and learned skills including CPR, defibrillation and bandaging.
“As a school we feel if all schools provided this training children would be more confident with these skills as they enter into adult life,” she said.
“You never know, along their journey they may actually save someone's life.”

What a wonderful morning up at Grantham Cricket club. The children rotated around a range of activities that developed their fielding and batting skills. The children demonstrated great sportsmanship.
The children had a great time on Tuesday at our morning 'Wake and Shake' club for EYFS and KS1.
The children enjoyed seeing Rev Buckman who delivered an assembly about the King's Coronation. It was lovely finding out more about the day and listening to the pledge of the people, learning about the special anointing oil used on the King and seeing the proposed service for Saturday's special event.

Over two thirds of students surveyed in the LSCP 2022 Keeping Safe Online Survey indicated that they access their devices once they have gone to bed, and that many parents and carers don’t know anything about what they do online. The survey also showed when parents talked openly to their children about their activity online, those students were less likely to experience cyberbullying and more likely to access support.
