Corby Glen Community Primary School
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Parent or Guardian,
We’re very excited to be welcoming top athlete Amy Smith to the school on Friday, 11 November 2022
Amy Smith will be leading a sponsored fitness circuit with all pupils and will follow-up with a talk and question and answer session. The aim of the event is to inspire the pupils to be more physically active, but just as importantly to encourage them to discover and then pursue their passion in life.
The event will both connect the pupils to an extraordinary athlete role model, and to raise money to improve physical activity for the school, while also supporting both athletes and para-athletes.
Attached is a sponsorship form for your child to use in order to help raise money for the event. You can also sponsor your child by visiting: www.sportsforschools.org and clicking on the button “Set up a Fundraiser Page”.
Please ensure that sponsorship forms and moneys are returned to the school office 1 week after the event has taken place.
Please also make sure that your child/children come to school on the event day with their PE Kits!
Thank you in anticipation of creating a terrific and memorable event.
Take a look at a 'Day in the life of Corby Glen Primary School'. If you are interested in visiting our school contact enquiries@corbyglen.lincs.sch.uk. We currently have spaces in all year groups and would love to welcome more families to our school community.
Thank you to Mark Cillacam Photography (https://www.cillacam.com/) for our wonderful pictures.
Money fundraised from our performances last year were used to support a charity in Melton called Support and connections (https://www.supportandconnections.co.uk/growing-community-enterprises). This charity supports adults with a range of learning and disability needs providing opportunities to develop life skills, social skills and employability skills. The money given has paid for our school to have the new planters at the front of school and the adults are currently building our new gardening planters. A huge shout out to the adults involved in making these for our school. We are excited to start planting through the year. Please take a look at this charity and support their fantastic work.

We are delighted to have received this donation from Allison Homes. As the dark evenings will soon be upon us these bag tags will be very useful, and the children can’t wait to clip them onto their own bags.
It’s important to us that our pupils stay safe on their journeys to and from school, and we always jump at any opportunity to encourage our children and parents to walk to school, instead of drive. Thank you to Allison Homes for helping keep our pupils safe.
Thank you to our wonderful PTA and all the volunteers who organised the school Halloween disco.
We’ve had a super start to our Diwali Day. Namaste Sunita
On average 2 students in every class of 30 have a neurodevelopmental condition called Developmental Language Disorder or DLD.
Please help us to raise awareness this DLD Awareness Day. THE 2022 DLD DAY THEME IS ‘GROWING WITH DLD’.
