Fri 03 Feb 2023 Miss Hill

    NSPCC Number Day

The children enjoyed some fun ‘number activities’ in the hall to celebrate Number Day! They all thought about the different ways that they could represent numbers and wrote them onto large sheets collaboratively. They drew tallies, diagrams, pictures, counters and other images. Some children thought about what each number was in a different language!

The children also had a go a number ‘do its’ where they chose different forms of exercise then counted how many repetitions they could complete of each!

We have been really impressed with the Number Day outfits! It’s amazing how many items of clothing have numbers on without us even realising!

  • Holocaust Memorial Day.

    Fri 27 Jan 2023

On 27 January every year, it is Holocaust Memorial Day.

It's a day for everyone to remember the millions of people who were killed, or whose lives have been changed, by an event in history called the Holocaust.

On this day we also remember the millions of people who were killed or have been affected by Nazi persecution and terrible crimes committed during conflicts in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2023 is Ordinary People, and aims to shine a light on the ordinary people persecuted for who they are, but also ordinary people who throughout history have been part of that persecution or allowed it to happen.

The theme also aims to draw attention to the extraordinary people who went to extreme lengths to help those affected.
